Toki team - placed 3rd in A Grade:

What a day the Toki team had today!

The first game was against Waikato. Waikato started fast but Toki got back into the game quickly, winning 10-4. The win meant that the team were in the semi-final against Sea Wolf.

The semi-final game was hard. Sea Wolf came out quickly. Toki tried their best right until the final whistle. The team lost 6-5 but they never gave up.

The bronze medal match was against Atlantis. It was a hard and fast game with Mountfort Toki coming out on top. The final score was 5-2 to Mountfort.

MVP of the tournament for Toki was Sebastian Dunn.

Thanks to coaches Tim and Jaz for their work with the team. The team were a pleasure to manage.

Well done for a great result.

Matau team - placed 9th in B Grade:

What a tournament!! We finished with a big win 12-3 which was so rewarding for our players! Everyone has had such a fun time and developed throughout the whole tournament! Good luck to those moving on to U14, and we look forward to seeing what you all achieve! To those who return next year, we can't wait to coach you again! Thank you to our manager, for all the support provided, and thank you to all the parents who supported their kids!!

(Hannah - co-coach)

Pounamu team - placed 8th in C Grade:

Great stuff from Team Pounamu today, with three tight games in quick succession. Opposition players were stuck to like glue, goals were scored and defended at both ends of the pool, and what fantastic teamwork! Fabulous to see continued improvement at both individual and team levels, resulting in an awesome eighth place.

Many thanks to Jesse and Liv for their encouragement and coaching tips, and to our many sideline and family supporters.

Well done team Pounamu!

(Caroline - team manager)
